The app checks once a day and installs updates in one click. Every release is signed, so only genuine updates are accepted.
Screen recording and screenshots need macOS's Screen Recording permission. Because the app isn't notarized yet, macOS can forget it after an update; the Capture tab tells you when, and turning NotchPilot off and on again in System Settings fixes it. macOS 15 also asks every so often whether to keep allowing screen recording. That's normal. Recording needs macOS 15 or later; screenshots work on macOS 14.
